About me
Hello! I'm an American front-end developer, writer, and photographer currently located in Toronto.
I am a front end dev with experience using modern web development technologies, techniques, and best practices to create a more beautiful, useful, accessible web. I am also trained to use these tools in Git-based production environments, both in paired programming and team-based collaboration scenarios. My code is user-centered; my focus on accessibility and responsive design means my sites are useful to as many people as possible.
Fun fact: I was an MA candidate in philosophy at the New School for Social Research in NYC with a special interest in aesthetics and art history. Art, research, critical analysis, and the pursuit of the good life are very important to me. My experience in academia shapes my beliefs about both my own code and the broader world, which gives me a unique perspective as both a developer and a human being anticipating the needs of others.
In my free time I am a prolific analog photographer--you can find a sampling of my work on either my Instagram or my Shopify site. I am also an avid player of board games, tabletop roleplaying games, and Magic: The Gathering.
I invite you to read more in my resume. Or--if you're really curious--you can peruse the issue of the Vassar College Journal of Philosophy for which I served as co-Editor-in-Chief.
